THIS OLD HOUSE

Most amazing stuff just drops in your lap sometimes!!
As it turns out, we've been doing structural work on a house for Rebuilding New Orleans, which is a kind of Habitat for Humanity organization doing 'renovations' as opposed to 'new construction'.
Well a rumor was swirling about that THIS OLD HOUSE was going to do some work on the VERY house we're working on and a film crew was probably going to do a shoot. "Yeah, right", was my reaction - "Hand me the level there - thanks" and life went on pretty much as per usual. Well we just got confirmation that Norm and Tom from the show will be there and since I'm the lead carpenter and Ted will be in the hospital, who do you think is gonna be in the camera shots?!?!?!
Who else but the plucky man - Lucky Lance, The Doctor himself!!!!
Next week is the filming. Stay sharply tuned to a PBS channel near you!!
Guess I'll have to re-learn the old This Old House Theme Song, "Louisiana Fairy Tale," recorded by Fats Waller in 1935 and written by Haven Gillespie.
