RELUCTANCE, RELEASE, RENEWAL
When stars are lost in skies so dark
A man can easy see,
His only choice as setting course
Far from the stormy seas.
And though the thunder crashing
May fade as miles divide,
The song within the beating heart
May run, but never hide.
Oh time, my friend, you healer
Hand in hand we walk thru days
Unyielding, ever onward,
Bending colors into grays.
Children's laughter fades to silence,
Tears - their meaning disappears.
My shiv'ring soul's supressed the cold
Shall love too, soon ebb from here?
Failing to glimpse a hint of joy
In the windows of my soul,
The monochrome months at last relent
As the metamorphosis unfolds.
Oh the bonds once forged with kindness
Dissolve sad 'neath the righteous love,
And trust, the vessel, sinks slowly below
As light streaks through clouds above.
