KICK 'EM WHILE THEYRE DOWN

Man, life's weird. Ya see a guy who's payin his bills, the mortgage and taxes, and always ontime, faithful, loves the kids, even if, and when they arent his; tryin to make the most with the burgeoning business he's got, and all that still falls way too short for some people.
No, a few clouds on the horizon doesnt mean the teeth of the gale's upon you, doesnt mean the ship's about to sink, doesnt mean it's "each man for himself", and it definitely doesnt mean you give up the ship for the rowboat. No, that's when it's all hands on deck - when the winning team rallies - when you find out who your friends are, not "were", and it definitely aint when you a kick a man - not when there's still a breath of a breeze in the sails. Maybe not the strongest, most uplifting breeze, but enough to know you still aint dead in the water.

And if it aint sinkin, dont tell me it is.
'Cause to me mate, that's mutiny.

Comments:
to anyone that's close to this, it's quite apparent that you've been less than supportive, less than than mature, and less than conscientious. and so, yes, all of this does fall short. and it has for quite some time.

incidentally, your comment about "the kids" is offensive.

Oh yes, it's so easy to have your nasty little point of view when you havent even been here in years to know what the picture from the other side of the glass is - I dont remember you discussing with ME what is actually going on now. You only have your interpretation of the facts and the highly colored subjective comments that you hear.

And as far as your remark regarding you kids, it just shows me how ridiculously unenlightened you are in understanding the profound difficulties connected with maintaining the balance required to sustain a relationship in the midst of the situation I entered with 4 adolescents. Believe me, if I hadnt loved you kids, I would have been gone after the first tantrum I witnessed or the first difficult bend in the road. When you've walked in my shoes for even 10 feet, I'll entertain your comments. But in the mean time, thanks for sharing your true feelings and your self riteous take on the situation.
