Damned Limp Wristed Bureaucrats

I'm not a big fan of Howard Stern - his antics are a little bit too 10th grade for my taste. Howard's penchant for potty mouthing and discussing anal sex on his show got him a whopping $495,000 fine a while ago from the FCC. I read the transcript - it was pretty much over the line for general public consumption.

But lets face it, when has Howard Stern EVER been held up as a representative of morality and good taste? Thats close, EH? I'm not mad at the FCC regarding it - They're just a bunch of uptight white guys because it's sex, and sex in America must be closely monitored.

Know what really has me extremely annoyed? Pat Robertson. Pat Robertson and the FCC.
Mr R represents himself as a religious leader. A Christian. A leader of Christians in America.
I was raised a Christian in America. I studied western religion in school. I've studied eastern religion. I know religion. I know religious leaders when I hear them. The Dalai Lama (thanks MeMa13 for the sp correction). Pope John Paul. They advocate peace, understanding, tolerance. Pat Robertson is not a religious leader. Not only does he not advocate the principles of religion, but as a so-called leader of Conservative Fundamental Thought, he inspires his "flock" to call for murder. And then in the white hot glow of the press's scrutiny, as he was questioned about his reference reegarding his call for the assassination of Venezuela's president, he lied. He lied to the reporter by denying it.

Now to me there's a HUGE difference between some idiot making farting noises on the radio and talking about anal sex, and a so called "leader" of a Chistian group going on TV and calling for the assasination of a head of state. The reprehensibility of this action is an insult to every American. This is an embarassment to the country and anyone who feels that the behavior he advocates is a moral outrage. This not only deserves condemnation from the president, but certainly deserves removal from the air waves. These are far from the vast majority of American's values; far more disgusting to me than Stern's base talk of anything anal.

And what response has the FCC delivered? None. I've heard nothing. In fact this was swept under the carpet so soon that it was almost frightening. What kind of people are controlling the FCC that this should be forgotten so incredibly fast?

This new dumbing of America is just another huge chunk chopped out of the very foundations of faith, Faith in the "American Way" by a Konservative ameriKa which is busy hacking and hacking.
Sterns departure was inevitable after his FCC facedown. It'd be a great day in America to see this bum dumped unceremoniously too.

Comments:
it was a test to find the truly spiritual among us - and of course only the most deepest-est among us would know that I would rather perish with the wolves of the earth than use spell check.
