Damn! I love it when teams I love beat teams I hate!
Sunday was a great day. The Saints, who are really looking strong whupped the despised Philadelphia Eagles and to add sugar to totally sweeten the deal, the Giants beat the Cowboys!!
What a night! I couldnt sleep after the Giants game, it had been so close, but they prevailed and finally I slept the peaceful sleep that only people who's teams have won can sleep. Aint that crazy, and I'm not really that big a sports "fan"atic. It'll be really interesting when the Giants roll into town to play my new favorite other team - the Saints.
I'm goin to that game!! Might lose some friends here in town but what an interesting emotional balancing act that'll be - wanting to see the saints do well at the same time as wanting to have the giants do just a little better. Of course Eli is from New Orleans - my buddy john went to school w/the family and is friends w/eli's brother, so theres a strange love connection with the Giants in town anyway - kinda like family, but not.
May the best team win! And I'm thinkin the Saints might prevail - they're lookin that good.
